Ventures West Transport is a common carrier, specializing in bulk commodities and focusing on operations in the four western provinces of Canada, the Yukon and the Northwest territories. A recent upgrade to the facility was completed at the end of 2008, consisting of two new buildings. The existing facility was outgrown, and extra space was required for extra fleet and a new office space. The 6,300 square-foot (585 m~2) building, designed to be a dispatch building and office, and the 19,500 square-foot (1,811 m~2) storage and maintenance building, cost a total of $4 million to complete.
