A few weeks ago I picked up a friend from the airport, and on the way home, I pointed out a building on the side of the freeway. The two-story retail outlet had a sleek, impressive look about it, and I was pleased to point out that it was one of our recently-completed projects. "One of yours?" my passenger exclaimed. "But I thought your company only made metal buildings!" As amusing as this story may sound to metal construction professionals, the fact of the matter is that people outside of our industry have many misconceptions about metal buildings. I find myself constantly informing people that when it comes to incorporating metal building systems into their original design, the sky is the limit.
