Field experiments were conducted at College of Sericulture, Chintamani, Chickaballapur district, Kamataka during rabi 2013 and summer 2014 to study the effect of different methods and levels of irrigation and mulching on growth and yield of mulberry.-The results showed that growth and yield of mulberry were significantly influenced by different methods and levels of irrigation and mulching. Subsurface drip with 0.8 CPE recorded higher plant height (129.07 cm), number of shoots plant"1 (30.13), numberof leaves plant"1 (416.00) and leaf yield (42857 kg ha~(-1) yr~(-1)) compared to surface drip (120.7 cm, 28.15,371.33 and 38809 kg ha~(-1) yr1, respectively) and micro spray jet (129798 cm, 28.37,388.50 and 39931 kg ha~(-1) yr1, respectively) with higher level of irrigation at 1.0 CPE. Subsurface drip irrigation method saved about 20 per cent of water than surface drip and micro spray jet irrigation methods which may be due to reduced or no evaporation losses. Therefore, subsurface drip may be appropriate irrigation method for mulberry production in EDZ of Karnataka under limited irrigation water source.
