India is a leading coconut producing country. Yet, it does not figure in the list of leading exporting countries of Desiccated Coconut (DC). The study makes an attempt to investigate the export aspects of DC The export of DC showed positive and significant growth rate both in export quantity (46.67 %) and export value (37.45%) with instability indices of 75.77 and 67.89, respectively. Growth rate in export of DC from India showed a positive trend and however, India is an unstable exporter of DC as indicated by higher instability index. Direction of trade showed that UAE enjoys the high retention probability of 0.76 which indicates that it is likely to be the major DC trade partner in the years to come.
