Identification of Most Suitable Species of Trichogramma for the Management ofEarias Vittella (Fabricius) on Okra

Eight species of Trichogramma were evaluated for identification of the most suitable species for the management of Earias vittellla on okra. Trichogramma chilonis recorded significantly higher parasitism of 94.2% followed by T. achaeae (88.6%). In cage experiments the highest parasitism was 49.9% @ 150000/ha followed by 42.1% @ 100000 /ha and 27.9% @ 50000/ha. Hence T. chilonis is the ideal species to be used for management of E. vittella.
