Evaluation of Locally Available Substrates for Mass Multiplication of Trichoderma viride

摘要

Two hundred and fifty grams of Grains viz., Ragi, Sorghum, Maize, Paddy (ill filled grains) and Wheat (ill filled grains) grains are pre-soaked in water for overnight in polypropylene bags and water was decanted thoroughly. Manures and other substrates (Table I) were also taken in a polypropylene bags @ 250gm / bag and are moistened with sterile water. All the substrates were sterilized at 121°C for one hour for two consecutive days and inoculated with spore suspension (6 x 10’spores/ml) of T. viride @ 1 ml/bag. Each treatment was replicated thrice and inocubated at room temperature (28 ± 2°C) for 15 days. The sample (4g) was drawn on 15 days after inoculation and colony forming units were enumerated on Trichoderma specific media (Elad and Chet. 1983) using dilution plate technique and data analyzed statistically.
