The study was conducted in Mandya district of Karnataka during 2008-09 with the sample size of 100 resondents. The findings revealed that, majority of the hybrid paddy seed growers were in low category of innovativeness. Whereas, 34.00 and 25.00 per cent of hybrid paddy seed growers were in high and medium category of innovativeness, respectively. Among the socio-economic and psychological characterstics seven age, occupation, cosmopoliteness, education, annual income, innovative proneness and economic orientation were found to be significant relationship with innovativeness of farmers.
