摘要

The stomatal frequency was more in Aruna (16.830/mm~2) followed by DCS-72 (16.330/mm~2) genotypes. The length of stomata was maximum in PCS-121 (4.467 #mu#m), its breadth was maximum in DCS-72 (2.733 #mu#m). The length and breadth of vascular bundleswere maximum in SL-1 (102.00 and 115.00 #mu#m). The wax layer was thick in PCS-121 (2.00 #mu#m) followed by local (1.734 #mu#m), but the parenchymatous tissue and total leaf thickness were more in Local (13.353 and 16.487 #mu#m) and the same was on parwith PCS-121 (12.000 and 15.800 #mu#m). A negative significant relationship was found between vascular bundles length, breadth, wax and epidermal layers of leaf with feeding duration, moulting duration, larval weight, cocoon weight, shell weight, shell ratio, fecundity and hatchability. The leaf anatomical characters were differed among tested castor genotypes and influenced on certain economic characters in eri silkworm.
