Efficacy of Different Groups of Organics Supplied to Mulberry at Varied Levels on Rearing Performance of Commercial Silkworm (Bombyx mori L.) Hybrid

The data from an experiment involving different combination of organic manures tested for rearing performance of silkworm hybrid during 2002-03 at the Department of Sericulture. UAS, Bangalore. It was observed that, castor (Ricinus communis) cake + urea treated group stood first for mature larval weight (3.558 g/larva), lower larval duration (24.84 days), ERR (84.87%), disease incidence (10.47%) and cocoon yield (57.39 kg/100 DFL's) compared to control. Among different groups of organics. castor cake + urea group performed better than other groups for majority of the rearing parameters and cocoon yield traits of the silkworm.
