Vertical Distribution of Free Iron Oxides in the Soils under Different Land Use Systems in Southern Transitional Zone of Karnataka

摘要

Distribution of free iron oxides indicates pedogenic environment and stage of soil development. Thus the present investigation on vertical distribution of free Iron oxidex in the soils was taken up to know the stages of development of soils under different land use systems. Study areas are located at Agricultural Research Station Farm, Honnavile and at a village Abbalagere in Shimoga taluk of Southern Transition Zone of Karnataka.
