Relationship between the characteristics of marginal and small contact farmers and their adoption behaviour

Significant relationship was found between adoption behaviour of small contact farmers and their mass media participation, innovative proneness, extension contact, extension participation. value orientation and planning orientation. In case of marginal contact farmers, the significant relationship was observed between adoption behaviour and mass media value orientation. The characteristics, mass media participation, innovative proneness and value orientation contributed significantly for the prediction of adoption behaviour of small contact farmers. Whereas, mass media participation, extension contact and value orientation contributed significantly for the variation in the adoption behaviour of marginal contact farmers.
