Laboratory diagnosis of Cushing's syndrome requires the use of tests with high sensitivity; however, reduced diagnostic thresholds might influence test specificity.To assess the specificity of three commonly used diagnostic tests: the urinary free cortisol (UFC) level, the midnight serum cortisol level, and the overnight dexamethasone suppression test (ONDST).
