摘要

Ag and a series of trivalent metals (M = Al, Cr, Ga and In) were doped into bulk CdS through hydrothermal method for tuning electronic band structure of CdS and its related photocatalytic performance. The modified band structure on the influence of visible light photocatalytic activities of CdS samples was examined by H-2 evolution from water reduction and polyoxometalate (POM: PMo12O403-) reduction. The results indicate that the band structure features such as the band-gap energy and the band edge levels of the CdS-based samples mainly determine their visible light photocatalytic activities.
