摘要

A gas sensor based on ZnO nanorod arrays was fabricated by a low temperature hydrothermal deposition combined with the dip-coating method. The ZnO nanorod arrays were deposited directly on the ceramic tubes coated with ZnO seed layer in advance. The microstructure and the morphology of the product were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman and field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). The gas sensing properties of the ZnO nanorod arrays to various volatile organic solvents were investigated in detail. And the sensor based on the ZnO nanorod arrays showed high response to these vapors such as ethanol, acetone, benzene and N,N-dimethylfomamide (DMF). The ZnO nanorods sensor can be applied as the broad-spectrum solid-state sensor to monitor various solvent vapors that may be present in the chemicalworks and laboratory.
