摘要

We present a fast photoacoustic imaging system based on an annular transducer array for imaging of biological tissues. An eight-channel data acquisition system was applied to capture the photoacoustic signals using multiplexing. A limited-field filtered back projection algorithm was used to reconstruct the photoacoustic images. Experiments were performed on ex vivo little fish and an in vivo mouse. Clear photoacoustic images were obtained with this system. Experimental results demonstrated the photoacoustic imaging system has the capacity for imaging complicated structures of biological samples and holds the potential for clinical detection of breast cancer.
