Anti-proliferative Constituents from Selaginella moellendorffii

Two new compounds, (3R)-5,6,7-trihydroxy-3-isopropyl-3-methylisochroman-1-one (1) and rhamnocitrin-3-O-beta-glucopyranosyl-4'-O-beta-galactosyl-(1 -> 3)-glucopyranoside (2), were isolated from the whole plants of Selaginella moellendorffii Hieron. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods. Additionally, compound 1 could inhibit the proliferation of HT29 cells through inducing cell apoptosis.
