Usually when I present someone’s thoughtful reflections about nanotechnology that I want to share with you in this space, I quote people in the humanities and social sciences. I also cite scientists frequently, but mostly to be sure that I get the empirical details correct when writing about nanotech. My own bias is to think that scientists give us knowledge, and then humanists give us reflections on that knowledge. It is rare that I recognize and appreciate scientists the same as way as humanists.
