In April, in this space, I discussed the effort undertaken by the North Americjn Encrgv Standards Board (NAESB), in response to the National Petroleum Council (NPC). to address "gas-electric harmonization," a rationalization of the interaction between the business structures of the natural gas and electric power industries. Since that time, there have been a number of developments as the NAESB effort has moved foi-ward. First, in June hederal Energy Regulatory Commission (FF RC) Chairman Jon Well ingh off announced a series of five regional conferences designed lo provide input to the commission on the same issues.
