Price Regulation Allowing NGL Pipelines to Adjust to Current Conditions

Production of natural gas liquids (NGLs) has become an integral part of the North American energy renaissance. Indeed, as natural gas prices and oil prices have decoupled, higher oil prices have created incentives to develop natural gas plays containing greater liquids. Consequently, the ability to economically transport NGLs from production areas to major trading has become an important issue. Consequently, understanding pipeline regulation plays an important role in overall economics.
