Colorado's Clean Air-Clean Jobs Act Remakes State's Electric Fleet

During the second half of 2010, two state agencies in Colorado implemented groundbreaking legislation called the Colorado Clean Air-Clean Jobs Act (CACJA). The new state law requires Colorado's investor-owned utilities to propose plans, targeting at least half their coal generation fleet, that will comply with all "reasonably foreseeable" Environmental Protection Agency requirements under the Clean Air Act.
