Panamanian ported numbers top 1 million

Total mobile and fixed numbers ported in Panama since the introduction of number portability reached the 1 million milestone in February 2018, according to the latest update from public services authority ASEP. The regulator said 1,005,533 users have ported their numbers since November 2011, the vast majority (93.4) corresponding to mobile telephony. There were a total of 5.9 million mobile subscribers and 603,000 fixed lines in Panama at the end of 2017.
