World heritage in young hands to know cherish anact an educational resoure kit for teachers

A new multidisciplinary resource kit for teachers seeks to introduce World Heritage education into classroom teaching, Following publication in English and french in 1999. the kit is being tested in 600 schools taking part in UNESCO's Associated Schools Project Network, in more than 100 countries. Translations into many other languages reflect the wide interest in the kit as a first important step in involving young people in the preservation and promotion of cultural and natural heritage, from local to global levels.
