Rural tourism in China - a case study of nongjiale in the Chengdu metropolitan area.

摘要

This paper describes rural/farm tourism (called nongjiale) in Chengdu, China. The contribution of rural tourism to the rural economy, its impact on rural mentalities and behaviour, and the challenges in the development of rural tourism, are discussed. Finally, recommendations for rural tourism development are presented.
