Mineral mixtures as supplementary feed are urgently necessary to secure the health and performance capability of productive livestock. Products available so far are largely in meal form and have the associated disadvantages, such as for instance a latent tendency to demix and a high dust production potential. The goal of the research project promoted by the AiF was to investigate the material and technological marginal conditions and procedures for producing mix-stable, low-dust and easily dosable mineral feed by compacting.
