Steel output of MoU signed units falls 15% in 2013-14

Steel production by players that have signedmemorandum of understanding (MoU) with thestate government saw a drop of 15.3 per cent in2013-14.Out of 48 steel companies that signed MoUsbetween 2002 and 2010, 31 have achievedeither partial or full scale production level.Together these 31 steel companies loggedoutput of 10.57 million tonne in FY 14 comparedto 12.48 million tonne in 2012-13.
