CORBA as a platform for integrating design and calculation

摘要

In the product-development process design and calculation are two related tasks. There are lots of computer programs for a computer supported carrying-out of these tasks, but often as stand allone systems. In order to get a contineous computer support allong the development process an integration of these computer programs is needed. CORBA offers a common concept for integrating software programms. The article deals with the chances and problems using CORBA as platt-form for integrating design and calculation.
