HZL to cut costs, output as falling prices bites

In the December quarter, zinc prices on the London Metal Exchange fell by 4.6%. In 2016 so far, January alone has seen a similar decline in prices. The steady decline is not good news for miners. Hindustan Zinc Ltd's operating profit margin fell by 10.6 percentage points sequentially in the December quarter. It is still respectable at 43.1%.
