摘要

The effects of mulching material and planting method on the bulb growth of the microtuber of calla (Zantedeschia spp.) were determined and a bulb production system for cut flowers using the microtuber was established. Bulb weight, circumference, diameter, and height was higher under black polyethylene (PE) film mulching than in the control and under transparent PE film mulching in the microtuber of 3 Zantedeschia spp. cultivars Saigon Gold, Majestic Red and Florex Gold. The microtuber planted on 25 April showed better bulb growth than those planted on 25 May or June 25. When the microtuber was planted at a spacing of 10x10 cm, bulb size was small. Planting at a spacing of 20x20 cm or 30x30 cm resulted in good bulb growth of the 2 cultivars. Bulb growth of microtuber planted in 0 or 1.5 cm deep decreased, whereas the microtuber planted in 3 cm deep showed good bulb growth in terms of weight, circumference, diameter and height..
