Twoexperimentswereconductedtoevaluatethequalityofcentrifugedrumenfillofcattleinbroilerdiets.Thefirstexperimentwasconductedtoinvestigatethenutritionalprofileofcentrifugedrumenfillanditseffectonproteindigestibilityandapparentmetabolizableenergycorrectedfornitrogen(AMEn)ofthedietwithdifferentlevelsofcentrifugedrumenfill(CRC).Atotalof100threeweeksold-malebroilerchickenswereusedandkeptinthemetabolismcagesfortwoweeks.TheexperimentaldietswereRC0:controldiet;RC1:controldiet+1centrifugedrumenfill;RC2:controldiet+2centrifugedrumenfill;RC3:controldiet+3centrifugedrumenfill;RC4:controldiet+4centrifugedrumenfill.Fecaldischargeswerecollectedforthreeconcecutivedaysfrom15experimentalcages.Thefeedswereofferedad-libitumandwaterwasavailableatalltimes.Proximateandfibrefractions(lignin,neutraldetergentfibreandaciddetergentfibre)oftheCRCweredetermined.Parametersmeasuredwereproteinandmetabolizableenergyofthefeed.Inthesecondexperiment,atotalofonehundredmalebroilerchickswereused.Thebirdswerekeptfor42daysandfedthesameexperimentaldietsasinexperiment1.Thedietsandwaterwereofferedad-libitum.Acompletelyrandomiseddesignwasappliedinthesetwostudieswith5experimentaldietsand3replicatecagesinexperiment1,and5experimentaldietswith4replicatecagesinexperiment2.Proteincontentandgrossenergyinthedietswereincreasedduetoaddtionofcentrifugedrumenfillinthediet.Thebirdsfedthedietscontainingcentrifugedrumenfillhadhigherproteindigestibility,AMEn,bodyweightgainandbreastmeatpercentage.Feedconversionratiowasbetterinbirdsfedthedietssupplementedwithcentrifugedrumenfill.
