The Audi A6 uses a new generation of ESP control units that first reached series production in the Audi A7. In addition to improved active safety functions, the new ESP provides wide-ranging opportunities for enhancing road dynamics and convenience. For example, it permits torque vectoring and can apply an electronic locking action between the driven front wheels. The sport differential, dynamic steering and electromechanical power steering all operate with the aid of the ESP system.
