Minimise nutrient losses for maximum productivity

Research funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation and the Department of Primary Industries, Victoria shows that helping crops to maximise nutrient use may increase returns and reduce the potential for unwanted environmental impacts. The strategic use of nitrogen fertilisers may improve both gross margins and a farm's environmental performance according to research carried out in south-eastern Australia supported by the Grains Research and Development Corporation GRDC.
