WA's bulk grain handler, Co-operative Bulk Handling (CBH) and local farm safety organisations have handed out thousands of brightly coloured vests to farmers and agricultural workers, who are wearing them and preventing accidents before they happen, reports Amber Atkinson. We all know what health and safety is and we all try and do the right thing. But each of us will admit that sometimes we cut a corner and put our own safety and the safety of others at risk. Attitudes in agriculture are changing and the industry today takes the welfare of its employees very seriously. Agriculture is one of Australia's most dangerous workplaces, with long hours and big machines always a hazard.
