摘要

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of sodium selenium (Na_2SeO_4) application in the nutrient solution on the growth and quality of six cultivars of Chinese cabbages. In spring and autumn cultivation, the fresh weight of Chinese cabbage grown in selenium treatment was no difference in that of control. In spring cultivation, the vitamin C content of 'Maeryeok' increased in selenium treatment. The vitamin C content of inner leaves of 'Manjeom' grown in selenium treatment was 73.9 mg.100 g~(-1) FW higher than that of control 60.2 mg.100 g~(-1) FW. Total vitamin C content of Chinese cabbage grown in selenium treatment was higher than that of control. In spring cultivation, the selenium content of leaves was high in order of outer > middle > inner part. And also, in autumn cultivation, the concentration of selenium was higher in outer leaves than in inner leaves.
