After spending 17 years in European racing, rising to the enviable position of Jordan Formula One team manager, Tim Edwards made a startling realisation - he hated F1. He was so sick of the politics and the boring racing that after the 2004 season he put his family on a plane and headed home to Australia. He took up a job working as an advisor for the Commonwealth Games organising committee and prepared for a new life away from the racetrack.
