I'm having my first chat with the service manager at the dealer that's just delivered my shiny, brand-spanking Golf. And it's not going too well. I'm old school and when it comes to running in a new engine, I'm all for getting it up to temperature a few times and then dumping the oil for fresh stuff after a few/hundred kays. It's a great way to get rid of all the swarf that's created as brand-new bits get to know each other.
