The data in these tables are furnished by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Descriptions of each of the national series are contained in the Supplement to the Statistical Yearbook and the Monthly Bulletin of Statistics and in International Financial Statistics, published monthly by the IMF. Foreign exchange rates are shown in units of national currency per U.S. dollar and refer to end-of-period quotations. Unless otherwise stated, the table refers to the midpoint (average of selling and buying rates) market rates for all dates so far as data are available. For dates prior to those for which market rates are available, the series represent fixed par value of central rates agreed with the fund. Reference should be made to International Financial Statistics and to the Annual Report on Exchange Restrictions, published by International Monetary Fund.
