Investigation into the Kinetics of Lead and Zinc Ion Sorption by a Phosphorus-Containing Cationite

摘要

The kinetic regularities of lead and zinc ion sorption in a phosphorus-containing cationite are studied. On the basis of the results obtained, it is established that the rate-limiting steps are both the external and the internal diffusion. Moreover, the stage of interaction of the sorbed ions with the functional groups of the cationite also makes a certain contribution to the overall rate of the process.
