Examination of noise emission of a centrifugal cruiser

From the point of view of noise emission, the scope of issues of industrial processes and technologies is a less researched area. This is particularly true for the machines belonging to the tool system of mechanical process technology: mills, crushers, screens, separators (e.g. counter-current separator, jigging machines, separating tables, magnetic and electric separators) as well as feeding installations, etc. So far, only few measurements have been carried out to determine their noise emission and the measurement results do not have a wide publicity. Perhaps there are known applications in ore separation where the acoustic energy - noise - generated during operation is used for the automation of the installation (usually ball grinder). Present paper deals with the noise emission of a crusher. The measuring activity was carried out in a research work is to explore the connection between the noise and the technical-technological characteristics of process technology installations, which permits the preliminary estimation and regulation of the noise of industrial installations.
