The therapy of acute decompensated heart failure should be performed like a work of art

We appreciate and read with great interest the article 'Reduction in Body Weight but Worsening Renal Function with Late Ultrafiltration for Treatment of Acute Decompensated Heart Failure' written by Dev et al. [1]. The study concluded that ultrafiltration (UF) was associated not only with a significant reduction of body weight and fluid removal, but also acute worsening of renal function [1]. We would like to emphasize the importance of this topic, in terms of daily practice, and the study itself deserves attention with its successful design and results.
