'Give time a chance' for in-stent restenosis regression.

A 57-year-old man with hypercholes-terolemia, history of stable angina and left bundle branch block underwent a successful coronary angioplasty and bare stenting on a long severe lesion of the left circumflex artery 10 years ago. His symptoms were relieved, but 6 months later he developed exertion angina. The new coronary angiography relieved a severe diffuse in-stent restenosis (fig. 1A). A conservative treatment, without any coronary intervention was decided. The patient underwent asymptomatic for more than 10 years, when he complained for atypical chest pain.
