摘要

After the second world war the Danubian Swabians originating from the south-western regions in Germany had lost their ancestral settlements along the median shores of the river Danube which they had cultivated since the 18(th) century. With the assistance of charity organizations from Austria and Switzerland, 500 families of Danubian Swabian descent were resettled in 1951 with the objective to farm the high plane of Guarapuava, Parana, Brazil.
