Summary of Monthly Rubber Statistics Malaysia, January 2010

Production of natural rubber (NR) in January 2010 rose 12.3% (+11,890 tonnes) to 108,892 tonnes when compared to December 2009. Year-on-year comparison showed a significant increase of 48.4% (+35,524 tonnes). The smallholding sector was the main contributor at 94.8% while the balance of 5.2% was from the estate sector.
