Field measurements about cooling effect of a river in Fukuoka City

For the purpose of collecting the basic data which contributed to cool spot setting to the innerFukuoka City, the field measurements were carried out around the river flowing through theinner city in summer. time. The tendency to the air temperature change was so clearly differencebetween the time when the sea breeze has blown and the one when the land breeze has blown.The sea breeze has cooling effect in the inner city. The low temperature area formed by riverwind is supposed with around about 100 m crossing direction to a river center.
