Construction of vector plasmids For the cyanobacterium plectonema boryanum And the creation of a vector-host System based on them

The plasmid composition of the cyanobacterium Plectonema boryanum Gom. strain GALU465 was analyzed. A small plasmid pSMl with a length of 1.5 kbp was selected for genetic engineering work. The physical map constructed for this plasmid was used to construct a series of pSTS vector constructs for the cyanobacterium P. boryanum. A method of introducing the vector into the host cells was selected and developed. The necessary orientation of the cyanobacterial plasmid pSMl in the vector and the possible role of its individual elements in the inheritance of the construct by the host were determined.
