The problem of specific character of soil formation in the mountains and, hence, of the mountainous soils remains disputable until now. Alternative concepts exist, and some of them are controversial. For example, Vladychenskii [1], Zakharov [2], and Gerasimov [3], consider the mountainous pedogenesis as specific. Zakharov [2] wrote that soils in the mountains differ from those on the plains by a set of properties, and they cannot be regarded as identical. Urushadze [4] and (ilazovskaya [10] disagreewith this point of view considering the soil cover more specific than soils in the mountains.
