The first ideas of the causes for origination of natural electric fields in rocks appeared in the middle of the 20th century virtually immediately after they were discovered [1, 2]. The proposed model of this phenomenon was based on the difference inthe diffusion rates due to different degrees of ion adsorption in rocks. In the 1970s electric fields were discovered in soils and their studies began. To explain their origination, use was made of an available geophysical model subjected to some minor modifications [3-6]. It should be pointed out that the term "diffusion-adsorption potential" outlines just a general line of a search for a mechanism whereby natural electric fields arise in soils. No work was made to study in detail the mechanism of this phenomenon and the influence of various factors on it.
