PGE ACHIEVES SECOND-BEST RELIABILITY YEAR EVER IN 2016

An unruly El Nino did not stop Pacific Gas Electric (PGE) from delivering its second best year ever, reliability-wise, in 2016, the San Francisco-based utility reported. The average PGE customer experienced one outage during the year. The average duration of power outages was 109 minutes, up from the record low 96 minutes in 2015 but still the utility's second-best total in history.
