Hypertherm donates Powermax to Haiti

A chance meeting in Northwestern Haiti between a missionary and the wife of a Hypertherm Inc. associate has led to a corporate donation of a Powermax 1000 plasma arc metal cutting system. The Bruce Robinson portable system has proven to be invaluable in the construction of badly needed public water systems in rural Haiti. Bruce Robinson, formerly an engineer at Boeing Corp., has been working to create water deliver)' systems for Haitian villagers who previously walked miles to find potable water. Metal fabrication has played a large role in the success of his engineering projects over the past 26 years, and before receiving the Hypertherm Powermax, he used oxygen fuel to cut steel.
