Technologies for Sub-millisecond Response Time of Nematic Liquid Crystals

In this paper, we introduce technologies for fast switching of nematic liquid crystals (LCs) using three-terminal electrodes. Fast switching ofLCs can be achieved by employing a vertical trigger pulse, by applying a vertical bias field, and by random alignment of LCs.
