Lyondell Creditor Seeks Stay Relief To Collect For Services Rendered

A creditor in the bankruptcy proceedings of Lyondell Chemical Co., parent company of Millennium Holdings Inc., which is a defendant in lawsuits against the former makers of lead paint, on Dec. 9 moved for relief from the automatic stay to collect a debt from Lyondell subsidiary Equistar Chemical LP (In Re: Lyondell Chemical Company No. 09-10023, Chapter 11, S.D. N.Y. Bkcy.). On Jan. 7, Lyondell filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
